Ailsa and St Leonard’s Wharves comprise 3ha of heavily contaminated land next to the River Lea, and have the potential to deliver a regeneration scheme of up to 1,000 new homes. This residential-led development will include commercial space, substantial new public realm and a new riverside walk.
We are designing the scheme, which has been the subject of pre-application meetings with both the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the Greater London Authority. A planning submission is anticipated in spring 2016.
Gary Fitzpatrick from Lindhill said: “We are proud to be promoting this major regeneration of a large tract of land that has laid barren for many years. Our schemes deliver a new residential quarter for Poplar and generate much needed housing for London.”
