The £45m project on Thomas Road will create 184 new homes, with 127 for market sale and 57 affordable (a combination of shared ownership and affordable rent). There will also be 140sqm mixed-use commercial space.
The scheme will reinstate a traditional street network to create a more walkable neighbourhood, making the most of the unique character of the project’s setting by reactivating the canal with a linear area of landscaped public realm along the full canal frontage of the site.
Our aim throughout the design process was to provide buildings and amenity space of high quality that contribute to the regeneration of the immediate and broader surroundings, adding to the sense of place and improving permeability with integrated pedestrian and cycle routes.
