Study tour debrief

We’ve recently returned from our bi-annual weekend study tour, this time to Copenhagen, where we feasted on architecture, art, herring, beer and a lot of Scandinavian sunshine.

As well as admiring all the Danish capital had to offer, from the opulence of the Opera House to the commune of Christiana, we ventured into Malmö via the Øresund Bridge to check out the Western Harbour. This area has been transformed to provide sustainable housing, where the emphasis has been on high-quality permanent residential solutions, architectural diversity and urban spaces.

We also took a trip to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, with a pit stop at Jørn Utzon’s stunning Bagsvaerd Church and Bellvue, where Arne Jacobsen famously designed the lifeguard towers, theatre and beachside housing estate.
