Having joined the Practice in 2002, Ewout became a Partner in 2015. He leads on a portfolio of pre-planning residential, mixed-use and community projects, managing schemes from initial feasibility through to planning consent and completion. He works closely with clients, the internal teams and external consultants to ensure that design proposals offer maximum benefit to stakeholders and the local community.
Ewout’s wide ranging experience includes securing planning consent for The Silk District, a mixed-use regeneration scheme for L&Q Group and Mount Anvil, comprising 648 new homes and 3,650sqm SME workspace, as well as overseeing the redevelopment proposals for Queen’s Yard in Hackney Wick with 116 new homes, 4,000sqm of mixed use workspace, including a new theatre and studio space. He also oversees a portfolio of development projects for Aitch Group. Ewout’s experience in project managing large scale regeneration projects has enabled him to become expert in both modern methods of construction as well as tall building design.
Ewout heads up the Practice’s Sustainability Working Group, investigating and implementing ways in which our projects and the Practice itself can benefit from environmentally friendly initiatives, processes and technologies.
