Frances Murphy ONC HNC


Frances joined the Practice in 2002 and became an Associate in 2016.

She has substantial detailed design, construction and site experience, particularly focused on high-density housing projects in east London. As well as a wealth of experience in the delivery of large urban regeneration projects such as Avant Garde, New Festival Quarter and Woodberry Down, Frances has led on several smaller-scale complex projects including the detailed design for Oberon Court, the first Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5 scheme in the London Borough of Newham, which has won several sustainability awards and reduced residents’ energy costs. Other experience includes leading the detailed design of the remodelling and refurbishment of 1854 Grade II Listed New Court in Hampstead, one of the oldest social housing buildings in the UK, the Kensington Primary Academy, a pre-fabricated cross-laminated timber structure for a new school in Kensington and Vyn Yard, a mixed-use building in the Regents Canal Conservation Area.

As a member of the Practice Construction Technology Working Group, Frances has an extensive knowledge of innovative processes and products which can add value to a development.
