A Partner since 2005 after joining the Practice in 1996, Gavin leads on an extensive range of pre-planning projects, specialising in mixed tenure housing projects and leading on our work within registered provider frameworks. He continues his involvement from inception to completion.
His knowledge of planning and legislative procedure has benefited projects at various scales and complexities including a number of schemes for Peabody, L&Q and LB Waltham Forest. His valuable experience ensures that current design and technical standards are consistently maintained across the various projects. For example, Notting Hill Genesis’ portfolio of sites along the North Circular Road involves innovative design solutions to counteract the acoustic and air quality constraints of the adjacent dual carriageway. Gavin’s knowledge makes certain that the best solutions are delivered, exceeding the expectations of the users of the building whilst meeting the technical demands set by clients and legislative authorities.
While involved in all forms of housing led development, Gavin has also become a particular expert within early concept design, exploring potential site capacities and assessing, defining and realising a site’s value.
Gavin oversees the Construction Technology Working Group within the Practice, encouraging architects and technologists to share innovative products, techniques and ideas for the benefit of all projects. He also oversees the Practice IT and BIM supported by our BIM managers.
