John Woolstencroft BA (Hons) DipArch DipUD RIBA FRSA

As a founding Partner John has, over the last 30 years, overseen the growth of the Practice to over 70 staff with seven Partners.

John is adept at identifying development opportunities, sourcing sites and securing project funding. His focus on maximising site capacity early in the project concept stage, combined with his planning expertise, gives clients the confidence to secure sites in the competitive bidding process. John’s understanding of the financial priorities for development ensure a successful blend of commercial sense and design quality.

Working primarily within the private residential development sector and with affordable housing organisations, John has a particular interest in developing mixed use regeneration initiatives which tackle some of London’s most deprived urban areas and address challenging socio-economic and housing needs through regeneration. His role as lead consultant at Ailsa Wharf in The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is a prime example.  Here John worked with a consortium of landowners and developers to secure planning consent for 785 new homes across 2.4ha of heavily contaminated industrial land set within a mixed use masterplan for the Poplar Riverside Housing Zone.
