Deborah Wartenberg

Deborah is a Certified Passive House Consultant with over 20 years experience, working on mixed-use and residential projects of varying scales and through all work stages.

She has pioneered sustainable design throughout her 18 years with the Practice, leading our very active Stockwool Sustainability Group. Deborah brings her significant expertise to her role as consultant on a series of key projects.

Deborah has a strong background in leading the pre-planning and detailed design phases of both private and social housing projects. Liaising closely with all parties throughout construction, she has been able to ensure the approved design is realised in accordance with client expectation, programme, and budget. This experience informs Deborah’s planning projects, working with the design team and local authorities to secure planning permissions that are site-specific, context-led, deliverable & sustainable.

Deborah has a personal interest in healthy, energy-efficient housing and believes strongly in the ability of architecture to nurture and to promote wellbeing. Her commitment to, and knowledge of, sustainable design practice has inspired Deborah to design her own Passive House which is currently on site.
