He is adept at using various processes and software programmes, notably Building Information Modelling (BIM), having spearheaded our 3D software applications from their evolution. He led the early application of BIM to several projects, including the award-winning Stratford Plaza and Stratosphere in East London, two mixed-use schemes for Telford Homes, each featuring over 200 new homes and extensive commercial facilities. Since then, he has been fundamental to the evolution and refinement of the Practice’s BIM protocol development and the managing of drawings and other information outputs.
As a team leader, Martin manages a group of architects, technologists and technicians in delivering private and affordable residential and mixed-use schemes across London, many of which have had significant complexities and construction programme challenges. He works closely with engineers and consultants to develop detailed digital models and is particularly adept at finding process and build efficiencies.
Martin leads our Digital Design Working Group and is a member of our Construction Technology Working Group.
