Millwall Masterplan

Masterplan proposals centred around the South London football club

Alongside CBRE and Alan Baxter and Associates, we prepared initial masterplan proposals comprising some 1,800 homes and 35,000m² non-residential space.

The previously marginalised 10 hectare site, located equidistant between London Bridge and Canary Wharf, was a prime candidate for regeneration driven by employment generation, as part of the London Plan, with potential improvements to South Bermondsey station and the London Overground connections enabling greater densities and opportunities.

The proposed non-residential uses were intended to complement the new homes and include commercial, education and enterprise space, hotel and community uses, including football and sports science facilities, together with a new linear park.

Millwall Football Club is an integral part of the local neighbourhood and a revitalised stadium and new sports, health and conference complex were seen as bringing much needed jobs, youth activity and economic mobility to the area.
